On behalf of the Comparative Advantage Editorial Board, we are pleased to present the eighth volume of Stanford University’s undergraduate economics journal.

This year’s journal and blog cover a wide range of topics, such as the effect of monetary policy announcements on exchange rates, the impact of government investment on education outcomes in Pakistan, and the potential benefits of a carbon tax. We are grateful to the authors of our articles, to all who submitted work for consideration, and to our associate editors for their time and effort during the selection and publication process.
